Ethyl Formate is a clear colorless liquid with a pleasant odor. Flash point -4°F. Less dense than water. Vapors heavier than air. Ethyl formate is found in apple. Ethyl formate is found in various foods, e. g. cooked apple, orange juice, pineapple, other fruits, raw cabbage, coffee, black tea, wheat bread, white clover, sorghum. Ethyl formate is used as a flavouring agent.
